The DNR has notified the WWMD that they are conducting a comprehensive fisheries survey of Tichigan Lake this year. Beginning February 27, they will be setting fyke nets anchored to the shore and marked with a black and white buoy with a DNR flag on it. The DNR warns that boats should stay far away from the buoys, unless they want their motors tangled up in a net or anchor line. They will set up to ten nets, but did not indicate their locations or how long they will be set for.
